Context:
Conducting an environmental and social impact study aimed at assessing the potential effects of the construction and operation of a tanning industrial complex in Toujounine.
Interventions
Analyse de la situation initiale du site par mission de terrain et consultations des populations et autorités locales ;
Identification et évaluation des impacts environnementaux et sociaux liés à la construction et à l’exploitation de l’abattoir (rejets, nuisances, hygiène, sécurité, gestion des déchets et sous-produits, etc.) ;
Élaboration d’un Plan de Gestion Environnementale et Sociale (PGES) conforme à la réglementation nationale et aux normes environnementales et sociales de la Banque mondiale, comprenant :
Mesures de mitigation et de bonification.
Dispositif institutionnel.
Plan de suivi-évaluation.
Calendrier d’exécution et Budget prévisionnel de mise en œuvre.
Mission objective:
Assess the environmental and social risks and impacts associated with the construction and operation of the tanning complex, and propose management measures to prevent or mitigate negative effects, while promoting positive outcomes for public health, urban hygiene, and the national economy.

Obtention de l’avis de faisabilité environnementale et sociale délivré par le ministère en charge de l’Environnement.
Conformité assurée avec les exigences nationales et les normes de la Banque mondiale.
Provision of a clear framework to ensure sustainable and hygienic operation of the tanning industrial complex, while limiting nuisances for local residents and the environment.
